- The size of the job — studio on up to a four-bedroom, plus a ballpark on how full the place is
- Your moving day, or a ballpark window if the date is still up in the air
- Both ends — each address, the floor at either end, and whether the route involves stairs or an elevator
- The access picture — flights of stairs, steep stoops, whether the block offers a driveway or curb space, any freight-elevator slot or building certificate, and any long carry from where the truck must park
- Out-of-the-ordinary items: a piano or a pool table, packing help, a stint in storage while leases overlap
